Manufacturing
Progress Defense delivers end-to-end manufacturing capabilities supporting the production, integration, deployment, and sustainment of military hardware systems with speed and precision. Our operations span the full program lifecycle—from analysis, design, and development through full-rate production—enabling efficient transition from concept to delivery.
Our state-of-the-art 200,000-square-foot manufacturing footprint is engineered to support large-scale, mission-critical production. The facility includes a 75-ton overhead crane with a 50-ton auxiliary hoist, housed in a 70-foot-tall addition providing 44 feet of clear headroom below the crane rails, along with a secondary 25-ton overhead crane to support parallel heavy-lift operations and flexible material flow. This infrastructure enables safe handling, precise positioning, and efficient movement of large, complex assemblies.
Facilities support advanced metal fabrication, precision machining, electronics and electro-optics assembly, laser processing, optical manufacturing, and integrated electronic and mechanical testing. Additional capabilities include heavy and precision fabrication, forming, welding, assembly, finishing, and pack-out, along with E-coat, Chemical Agent Resistant Coating (CARC), powder coating, plating, and heat treatment.
Select operations leverage automation and robotics for high-precision, repeatable processes, while extended and unattended production shifts enable sustained throughput to meet demanding delivery schedules. Clean rooms, optical processing areas, and integrated test environments support scalable manufacturing—from low-rate initial production to sustained, high-volume output.
Progress Defense’s manufacturing model is built around flexible, multi-capability operations aligned to specific program requirements. Our ability to rapidly configure tooling, workflows, and capacity allows Progress Defense to respond quickly to urgent needs while maintaining quality, consistency, and production readiness.
